Dinner for Two Features 4.14.20-4.18.20 & Feeding the Frontline

Friends,

I continue to hope that this email finds you & yours well. We send you our deepest empathy however this pandemic affects you. If you are home, I hope that you are able to find joy in the safety and security that brings. If you are part of our front-line workers, I hope you feel the deep gratitude and respect that you so very much deserve, now more than ever.

As I shared in the beginning of this pandemic and NYS on PAUSE, ‘mōtus’ means movement; change. We continue to challenge ourselves think of ways we can continue to do what we love, while serving great food and encompassing true hospitality. We’ve heard from family and guests that you’re looking for a way to support us, while also taking care of our most valuable frontline workers. I’m excited to announce that we’ve decided to join forces with Feeding the Frontline!

Feeding the Frontline is a grassroots organization whose goal is to support restaurants, while providing meals to frontline workers. With several members of our family, extended family, and friends that we consider family fighting this pandemic on the frontlines, we’d like to recognize them and thank them for their tireless efforts during this time. We will be sending individually packaged meals to our local hospitals, who will then disseminate to departments in need.

Here’s how you can help us! If you would like to help us provide meals to hospital staff, please purchase an e-gift card in any amount you choose on our website at www.motusutica.com. For the Recipient Name, please enter “Feed the Frontlines” and for Recipient Email enter info@motusutica.com . Doing this will ensure your donation is sent to us. Each meal we send will be priced at $10; we plan to disseminate meals once a week, rotating between our main hospital campuses. We will send a selection of house roast turkey sandwiches, house roast beef sandwiches and vegetarian & gluten free salads. Each meal will be accompanied with house made chips and house made pickles.

Through the end of April, we will suspend our lunch take-out service so that we may direct our attention to Feeding the Frontline efforts. In anticipation of your generosity, I would very much like to thank you in advance.

We will continue to offer our Dinner for Two Features, our new Burger for Two Feature (Tuesday & Wednesday) and our limited menu. We will also be continuing to work to bring you fresh, seasonal items as they are available and as we gain access to them. Please continue to look for these feature menus to be posted Sunday or Monday each week. Additionally, we will be continuing to update our dinner menu on both our website and on GrubHub.

Thank you, as always, for your generosity and support.
Be well,
Emmie
